Hanul art school Terms and Policies

Program

  1. Student may register into all programs at anytime depending on class capacity (max. 6 students) except for Baby Artist and Summer Prgrams)
  2. (Little Artist, CreArt and Bridge Art ) programs is filled with 80 different subjects. (2 year long program/ 1 subject per week.) Students may continue to take 2 yearlong if they wish to, but the minimum length of the program would be 3 months.
  3. For Fine Arts Class, the class is run to each students own schedule and projects. Minimum length of the program would be 3 months.
  4. We do not provide individual lessons, and new class can be only made with minimum of 3 or more students. When new class is made, time arrangement is negotiable
  5. All materials are covered with material fees except for canvases; or canvas fees will be posted. You may purchase separately or bring the ones you already have.
  6. Due to use of paint, student’s’ clothes may get damaged or dirty, so working clothes or apron is needed. We do not take any responsibility for the damaged clothes during class.
  7. Classes are usually back to back, so please be ready to pick up students at right time.

 

Fees and make-up class

  1. New student must pay one time registration fee at the time of registration
  2. Tuition fee can be paid by only cheques. At the beginning of the class, we will require five post-dated cheques which cover five equal payments for 40 classes (September2014-June2015). The cheques must be dated Sept1st, Nov1st, Jan1st, Mar.1st May1st. If you already are aware of your vacation schedule and let us know beforehand, deducted amount (only class fee) can be also payable.
  3. Monthly Payments will be accepted in form of postdated, however we require ten post-dated. We do not accept month to month payment in any form.
  4. If there is a notice for absence before 24 hours, we are providing Max. 2 credits a year. The credit will be used in next term.
  5. Parents may give absent notice through our E-Mail (smart phone friendly) if not, through text message is also possible. (780-953-5024)


What to leave on the notice:


1. Class name, Day / 2. Student name / 3. Date of absence

  1. Students who miss a lesson are welcome to attend another class of the same level on a different day as a make-up.
  2. Cheques that are returned NSF will be subject to a $25.00 NSF fee


Exhibitions, Art contests and Yearbook.

  1. “Exhibition” and “Auction for donation” will be held once a year sometimes between June and January. All students should exhibit their own art work. (Frame or canvas fees will be posted)
  2. Student who wishes to participate in an Art Contest must pay entrance fee. (Contest information will be posted on the web page)
  3. Yearbook will be published September of next year and should let us know if you wish to publish or not in three months after the registration.


Discontinuation of Lessons

  1. If student wish to discontinue, at least month notice should be given and postdated cheques or prepaid Tuition fees will be returned at the last week. However, student must register for the minimum of 3 month long class.


Safety

  1. No touching the art supplies that are not given or other students’ art work.
  2. For students in BabyArtist and LittleArtist, indoor shoes are must. Other classes are recommended.
  3. For younger students, parents must bring them up the stairs.
  4. If a student is dropped off by parents or guardians we ask that they come in to the Art school to pick them up. We do not want students to leave the building alone.
